First Father's Day

We had a special Father's Day week-end  which included a visit from Grandma Kitty. Adam's mom Bonnie (aka Grandma Kitty) had been planning a visit to see baby, so I thought Father's Day week-end would be perfect. The weather was not ideal with 105 degree high on Saturday, but we kept cool by drinking a couple Mai Tais and baking a special Father's Day beer shaped rum cake :) Daddy loved his cake and his new t-shirt hee hee :) We did have a slight disaster with smoke billowing out of the oven due to old grease on the bottom, but bro-in-law saved the day by cleaning it! I finished frosting as daddy walked through the door!

On Sunday we headed up to my parent's house to cool off in the pool and had a nice visit. Baby loved the water as usual and daddy got a sunburn as usual...he didn't listen to mommy! Grandma Kitty had some great bonding time with her grandbaby and Cameron loved every minute of all of the attention! We headed to Grandma and Grandpa Scott's house around 5:00pm and enjoyed a nice family BBQ. Cameron was a good girl and we all slept really good Sunday night after an eventful week-end. I know Adam enjoyed having a nice visit with his mother and we showed him how much we appreciate his amazing parenting skills. Keep up the good work daddy!
