Scoot Scoot & Away She Goes!

Baby turned seven months old on July 26th and one week later she was scooting across the family room floor! A whole new stage of her development and so much fun to watch her go! At first she moved her arms forward and pulled the rest of her body forward. The Army low crawl came next and she was across the floor in no time. She made it to the dining room table rug and checked out the design, then the dog dish to see if anything yummy was inside, and then to the warm and furry dogs to grab on their paws. She would pause now and again during her floor explorations and pose on her side so proud of what she accomplished. Mommy would set toys out of reach for her to scoot to and she would grab them and "bang bang" them on the floor. To think mommy was so worried about tile floors and they actually made the scooting so much smoother :}

8 Months & Counting

Although it has been a rough month with teething...baby girl is still our little sweetie! Her two bottom teeth have appeared and she loves when mommy runs the tooth brush over them :) She is scooting across the the floor like it's her business! Our little low crawler likes to head towards all the places she shouldn't no matter how many toys are placed in her path. Dog dish, toilet, power outlets! Naughty girl! She even managed to pull herself up on coffee table and crib! We lowered the crib of course, but coffee table is another story. Mommy bought a pretty colored play yard (aka baby jail), but she doesn't last for long lol! She does love the exersaucer though!Waiting for her first word any day now! I am sure it will be "dada" :) Although I miss holding our little newborn, she is so much more active and fun now! She still snuggles too :)
