Terrible Two's What??

So, it has been 7 months since my last post and our baby girl is officially a toddler!! In the last 4 months there has been significant changes!! She is speaking in sentences and following directions. It is so amazing watching her develop and every milestone seems to happen overnight! Cameron is definitely not an easy child by no means, and according to my mother nor was I! If she is mad she will throw a major fit which sometimes involves hitting and biting! We started to worry, but after some research discovered it comes with the territory. We are not doing anything wrong we just have a bit more of a challenge :) It is difficult because she gets frustrated when she doesn't get her way, so we are working with her one tantrum at a time to teach her coping skills and help her communicate when something is wrong. The teething is almost over which is definitely a good thing. We attribute a lot of her bipolar baby episodes to teething, so we will be grateful it is over.

We survived a trip to Hawaii and Disneyland. We were trying to get all the trips in while she could fly free, but I don't think we will be taking another trip for a while! She had major meltdowns on the plane, but Dramamine came to the rescue!

Cameron may not be an easy child, but her personality will light up a room and put a smile on everyone's face. She is so special and brings us so much joy...whether she is giving us XOXO, begging for her favorite show "Caillou", or raiding cookies and snacks in the pantry...she is our baby girl always and forever.

18 Months Old Going on 13!!!

Laughing, climbing, dancing, running, screaming, crying, whining, hugging, loving, eating, drinking, swimming, sitting, drooling, dreaming, scratching, biting, playing, smiling, listening, talking...Our baby girl is GROWING up! Where did the time go! We look at her every day and tell ourselves, "We did that!"

Our little bird has turned into a monkey climbing on anything and everything! Her latest fascination is climbing on our dining room chairs, because she is a "big girl" now! This morning marked yet another developmental milestone...climbing out of the crib! I got out of the shower only to find her crying outside the bathroom door...and not in her crib obviously! My jaw dropped to the floor, "I'm not ready!!"

We have already managed to get her hooked on TV..Sesame Street, Bubble Guppies, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Yo Gabba Gabba, Barney, Wiggles...you name it! She even points at the TV and asks for, "Abby" and "Elmo" and "Mickey."

She has toys galore, but she is more interested in mommy and daddy's iPhone and iPod! She also loves grabbing mommy's clothes out of the laundry and putting her feet in daddy's shoes. Today she wanted to wear my necklace and she strutted around the house. Did I mention that I am "NOT READY!"

She struts around the house trying to find her escape route! We don't dare leave a bedroom door open or she pulls everything out of the drawers. And the big scare was when she decided to tast a dolup of gel toilet bowl cleaner. Talk about a heart attack! We even had to change the handle on the pantry to a door knob because she was opening the door. Now she just stands in front of door and does the "sign" for "more" with her two little hands and looks up at us with those big blue eyes! She is a beggar!

She has discovered dance and we have bubble dance parties in the living room! I always dreamed of being a dance mom lol! She was the life of the party at my niece's wedding when she was grooving to Kool and the Gang!

The last six months has not been easy with the teething, tantrums, and trying of mommy and daddy's patience...but when we look at that beautiful baby girl we could not be happier....
